Very sorry to hear this. I was just at his house a few days ago to pick up one of his profile kits. He will be missed in the RC community.

Like so many of you, Richard welcomed me into the community of Florida flyers. We recently hung out together at Huckoween and he was most helpful getting my engine running smooth and helping with my Mamba carnage. A great guy taken way too soon.

A fun day flying with Richard. Two fat guys in a little airplane full of fuel on a hot day,, Ormond Control Tower asked if "we were okay" after a lethargic climb out. We had a good laugh over that.

So sad! Richard was an asset to this hobby. He walked me through my first steps in A-123 battery technology many years ago and I never looked back since. I last spoke to him a few weeks ago.

May He Rest In Peace.

What a great guy with character to boot. The first time I met him was when we were parked next to each other at HoW 4 years ago. Him and Tony G made the trip down very memorable and inviting. I think the thing I’m gonna remember most is him trying to get rid of all those socks this year!

Gonna miss him. I made home made ice cream at the Chattanooga 3D jam one year, so he would sing Van Halen’s “Ice Cream Man” whenever he saw me after that. Always smiling and having a good time.

I have made more fond memories with this man than I can count. On the field, off the field, and even in our house. I can speak for anyone who knew WW when I say that loss is never easy, but this one really punches us in the gut. Here's a clip from Joe Nall 2012 that always makes me smile. Richard recorded it and I'm so glad he did.

When it is raining at Nall (1 min 17 sec)
