New DLE

Got an email from ValleyView and it said theyre testing a new DLE engine thats coming out. Wonder what thats gonna be. I think its gonna be a small 4 cylinder like DLA came out with. Maybe 4 35s for a 140.
Maybe got the jump on Evolution cause they keep stallin with theirs and we'll get something fuel injected.

Like to see the 340. ie two 170's in a quad format. If that ever happens , my first call will be to Bill Hempel.

I'd like to see a 10cc, with rear exhaust and rear carb, but it can't weigh much more than the 10cc Evolution. .

5cc with a postage stamp electronic ignition, supercharged, swinging a 29" prop would be the best.

Seriously am curious what they are working on for the budget bruiser power plant thought.

Any experience with the Evo 10cc ? It's purdy neat for what it is. I put one in a .50 sized Corsair airframe and had great success with that motor. The model, a CMPro, was merely 'meh' so it's up for sale but I kept that sweet little engine. No idea what I'll put it in as I've gravitated to larger airframes but those small gassers captivated me.

One thing I realized with those Evo 'rotary carb' gassers (I have an Evo 15cc as well) is although they share the same displacement as their C.I. counter parts (the 10cc is .60 C.I, and the 15cc a .90 they certainly lack the power of the nitro burners..................so you may be on the right track with the rear 'pump' carb design for a 10. My DLE 20 in a .60 sized airframe is about as over board with excess power as the Evo 15cc is lacking.......................

I know absolutely nothing about engineering but I'm wondering to what application, with regard to smaller displacement engines, the standard Walbro, WT 201b carb say, could be used? That is; at what point going down in displacement does the carb's CFM have to be reduced as well to get an efficient system? Hmmmmmm, just thinking out loud...............
