SPOTONRC.COM - US WAREHOUSE
I placed an order with SPOTONRC.COM Saturday 4-27-19. I chose to place the order with them based on their website reflecting a “US WAREHOUSE, the ability to check inventory availability, associated shipment AND delivery times from said US Warehouse.
After placing the order their Website showed a USPS shipping label was generated with a corresponding USPS tracking number, which when Tracked reflected: “Your package is on its way to a USPS facility”. This USPS status has not changed as I write this post. Other items I ordered on that Saturday from other Hobby websites have already been received via USPS, as well as their USPS tracking numbers quickly updating from “Your package is on its way to a USPS facility”, to package received/enroute to next facility etc. One big issue for me when wanting to get an update from SPOTONRC.COM regarding order fulfillment was that they didn’t provide a customer service phone number for the US WAREHOUSE, for me to call. Also their Online “HELPER” chat was not responsive the first day I used it as a last resort to reach someone. The 2nd day I did get a response that made me believe they were checking on my order, but I did not get a follow up to tell me what was going on. The next day I tried again and asked for the US warehouse phone number and was told they didn’t have one. This made me very nervous. Ultimately they refunded my money, which is good, but I told them I have a problem with their Website representing a US Warehouse and the ability to check for items in stock at said warehouse and associated delivery times. And then after placing an order to find out they apparently can’t fulfill orders from that warehouse. I told them they should update their website to remove that misrepresentation. To their credit they have posted a note concerning their transition to Amazon for US order fulfillment. And while I expressed to them my frustrations over this transaction and they have refunded my money, and I have told them I do not expect anything more from them other than to correct their website, they have indicated they are still going to send me the item for free. Bottom line, through this experience my project has been delayed and while I appreciate their decision to send the item to me free of charge, as a US customer what I value more is a ACCURATE website representation of order fulfillment expectations and a timely order fulfillment. For many its the timeliness of order fulfillment over price and obviously in this case SPOTONRC.COM failed badly. Hopefully after SPOTONRC.COM straightens out their US WAREHOUSE order fulfillment capability other US customers will have a satisfactory experience. |

In today's business environment most companies have zero ethics and credibility. Most will make outlandish misrepresentations and just hope you the consumer are so stupid or complacent to put up with the crap. Most likely they launched the "US Warehouse" well before it was actually ready. I also dislike companies that do not update info on their websites.
A good example the manufacturer Aeroplus RC list on their website Mile High RC as the USA distributor, but Aeroplus RC was dropped by Mile High because they started their own website HSDGO.com to distribute in the USA. I would like to ask them how did that work out because the HSDGO website is gone. The company still shows Mile High RC as the USA distributor, but alas all lies no USA vendor. I will give any company the chance to screw me once, but only once and I am done. There are great vendors in our industry, alas way less than there was just a few years ago but the good ones stay and that is who I do business with. |

CLOSING THREAD DUE THIS RIDICULOUS COMMENT:
This guy’s profile states his interests are: to Lurk and make sarcastic comments”. I made the original posting to give my experience with SpotonRC to warn others of the potential they will not ship in a timely manner. I provided all relevant information pertaining to my experience and in expressing my frustration to SpotonRC when they offered to send the item later for free I told them I did not expect them to or want them to. So if they decided to go ahead and send the item, although after a delay and frustration in trying to get in touch with them etc, NO A-HOLE, I’m not going to pay for the item. |
