Oh yeah IMO the RCGUYS decatholon is a POS. I know been around one, actually I built it for a buddy. TOTAL POS IMO.... I am sure this is much better than the other mentioned... Just sayin

might be an original run version, the one I saw was really nice. The RC Guys also can run with a DLE-55. Sure it needs a few things here and here but for $400 its hard to beat. Not going to beat a dead horse but neither the Pilot or RC Guys is going to win a scale contest so in terms of the price difference, you got me where that extra $800 bucks comes from

Again, im not complaining about Tony's price, just doesn't make sense to me

You are not comparing apples to apples. The RC Guys plane not even close to the size of the Pilot plane. RC Guys is only a 96" span. It should be alot less. Just Sayin!

..and the quality doesn't even begin to come close. I had one. All of the covering had the color separating from the plastic film. The color stayed stuck down and all the film was peeling off. I never used the hardware either.

The plane looks amazing, and I was seriously thinking about placing an order for one until I saw the price. I understand that this is a big plane that not only requires lots of materials, but it is also quite complicated to build, however $1300 is just too much. Add another $100 for the light kit (which is a must if you ask me) + $200 for shipping, and you are looking at a $1600 50cc AIRFRAME.

I just saw that there is a 30cc version in the works, which is great! I can only hope that it will be in my price range.....

You guys just do not get it. This plane for all intents and purposes is a 40% plane, and it it takes just as much time, effort, and material to manufacture as a 40% plane. Just because it can fly on a 50cc engine does not make the plane any smaller, or cost any less to build.

If you order now, you can get the light kit free and as far as shipping goes, you have to pay that regardless. You don't think Chief is going to ship for free do you? Not to mention $200.00 shipping to get it here from China, that is a bargain. US distributors will charge just as much.

C'mon people get your heads out the toilet bowl. Size of engine does not alway equate to cost of plane!!!

Awesome looking airframe and to fly something that size with a 50cc is worth it. If i had the money right now I would purchase one because Pilot RC(Tony) has good things going for them and good customer support as we are constantly hearing from their threads here. The easiest way to look at it is if you dont like it or the price dont buy it.

Just guessing, but I think it may be more dollar value vs. fun value ratio......not so much engine size as what you can do with a 40% 50cc plane vs. an aerobatic 40% plane.

I wanted one for my wife, but I think I'll hold out for the 30cc as well.....

This is a thread that people from all over the world that are interested in this plane will look at and read,and all they will get is a bunch of people BIT$%ING about the price of a GREAT PLANE that is worth every penny....Come on guys-get it together-This is Tony,s thread about a new release that i for 1 am pulling the trigger on.....If you do not like the price-keep it to yourself.
