Very sad to hear about Paul. He was a great pilot and a cool guy. I met him at a local airshow last year that I flew a demo at. He sure put his MX-2 through the wringer. In fact I was just talking to him about my beginning aerobatic training the evening before his accident...

Wow, this is a shame. He was supposed to come to Columbus next week for our full scale airshow. Sad to see something like this happen. He'll be flying forever now.

Re: MXS WOW

Good news for MX Aircraft fans!
We just received our color scheme diagram of the MXS-R from EG for final approval. Red Aero RC has entered into licensing agreement with Breitling of Switzerland and will be coming out with the Nigel Lamb MXS-R in early February. Both 50cc and 100cc.
Besides the Breitling MX, we'll also have the Green and Purple Gary Ward scheme in both 50cc and 100cc.
In addition, the factory is building especially for RARC a 150cc size MX2 prototype. We'll do a build thread as soon as it arrives.
Last, but not least, RARC will also be getting a bunch of the 30cc MX2 in the Matt Hall Red, Blue and Yellow scheme.

Check-out the factory covering document in the photo. This is going to be one beautiful airplane. If our 100cc MX2 flight testing is any indication, the MXS-R will be a show stopper in the air too.

Like I said, this is good news for the MX Aircraft fan.

Thanks VooDoo,
The MX is a nice airplane and will be a very popular choice for both freestyle and IMAC pilots.

Re: MXS WOW

I notice that the 100cc MXS-R has the race type canopy, and the 50cc has the stock MXS canopy. Any chance of doing the race canopy for the 50cc version too?

The 50cc will have the MXS canopy and not the MXS-R canopy. Our research indicated that more people were into the single place canopy look instead of the racing. Personally, I think this airplane will look great either way.
