Well we made it through the Summer Nationals and speeds were incredible. Thanks to Chuck and his crew for the efforts for that race.
I am busy getting ready for the Oct 25-27 race at Rabbit Dry Lake Bed near Victorville, Ca. A couple ideas I will be implementing for this years race. There will be a dinner on Sat night at the field catered by the food vendor. Tickets are $10, and purchased at registration time. If you enter one of the USRA classes (Unl, F1, or SD) and then enter in the Sportsman or Warbird class, that second entry will be half price- $25. I will also be selecting a random round/heat of the sportsman class as a "Money" heat. This means for this heat only the first plave winner will receive a cash prize as they walk off the line. (Can not break out) The amount will be determined by the entries. I hope to see old biplanes in this class. Also I will plan on running the warbird and sundowner classes seperate from the sportsman if the entries are there. There is a plan to have an announcer giving a play by play report of all classes: " and there goes Marty Flood around Dave Smith for the lead, its the final turn and Marty Flood wins it, oh and this just in, it is a new world record time of 1:12" Something like that any way. Looking forward to seeing all of you for this season finale. For more info go to www.usrainfo.org Thanks to our sponsors: Horizon Hobby, Desert Aircraft, Futaba, Waymire Decaling, APC, CRT and Ritch's Brew |

We flew sportsman this past weekend in Winslow and had a BLAST. Great planes, great crowd and tons of fun. A first time for us and most definitely not the last. Hope to see some more newcomers flying with us in California.

What about a 42% GR-7 turbo prop ? it's in the making's, wing has servo's & c/f control horns temp mounted, landing gear is fitted, tail feathers installed, making formers to suport turbo prop spt-5......should be quick

Looking to complete it over this winter period -
The paint work is a killer.....as i'm no painter, i have to have some one do this. I have an ultra lightning to be painted I have 2 ninja Q500's to be painted I have the GR-7 to be painted Paint...paint...& more paint -but they all will look trick & slick aswell as quick The weight of a gt80 Vs the spt-5 is basicly identical, we'll pull more rpm with the t-prop, if I get 200 mph i'll be happy |

Being used to flying Q500 at 170 mph....... the slow down factor I am used to - flap intergration slows them some what.....but they do glide well, especialy when in ground effect just before T/down.
