See if your gear cover holes line up with the landings. I'm going to have to redrill all the pre drilled holes in mine. Where they drilled them there isn't enough wood underneath for the screws to grab. Sometimes all this stuff they pre drill is counter productive.

Linkage Soldered

So I have soldered only one of the linkages... looks ok and tests strong.
So I guess I willl proceed to finish the rest of the linkages for the wing halves .
its been a slow process but I want to make sure the solder holds.

Linkage Complete

I have completed the linkage on both wing halves. I am moving on to the wheel cover doors this is looking like another time consuming step. I still have not decided on what wheels to go with... the ones that I found they are not in stock. just my luck.
so for the mock up I will just use the ones that came in the kit.

JAYNC I have missed your post.. I didnt realize you posted ... from reading your last post I believe you are talking about the large cover that covers the landing gear assembly ???
if that is the case they didnt pre drill any of the holes for that cover on my Zero.
I had to drill all the holes.. but I will mention this i am not happy with the construction of the landing gear area. what I mean once you install the Gear Assembly add the lock washers the head of the bolts stick up too high were the cover its self is raised. I know these are mass produced... but come on attention to small details like this should be evident.

Might be easier, but I think soldering is better,, never had a soldered on one end link unscrew itself

On controll rods I always use a carbon tube over the rod it helps to stiffen it and looks better than just the rod

Gear Door installed

I have installed the right wing gear door on the landing gear.
I am happy with the install but since I dont have the correct wheels yet
I have not lock tite the threads the bottom door has to be removed to install
the wheel so I will move on to the left side....

But.... I have noticed in the plans they actually have me to install the front wing dowel pins after the wing has been glued together seems to me since the wing halves are seperated you can see and get to the back side of the wing dowel pins. I am thinking why not glue those rascals in now since I can get to the back side of them and soak them with epoxy... its straight forward just keep them out 3/4 of an inch out from the wing seems like i am going to glue them in before I glue the wing together.
