You know I considered one of your DJ 85cc engines for a large 50cc size Gee Bee that I have that was super cheap and needed a heavy motor upfront, this plane would be lucky to get more than a few outings a year, club flyin,s and other times where I fancied pulling out something different. Was thinking a 24 14 prop on it and add smoke pump I have had laying about for years and fly the wings off it
![]() ![]() Never did buy the DJ 85cc because I can find no way of contacting anyone for parts if needed, nothing, nada. Do you have a website or anything?, how would anyone make a warranty claim?. Who would buy a motor that could come faulty, any brand could, and there is no parts anywhere?, well a few parts on sdshobby for the obsolete mark 1 dj 80. Apart from the above comments its personally its nice to see a 72cc single, I would buy a good 70cc single that could spin the same prop as a 70 twin or piped 60. Will wait for one that has even the most basic support though which at this point your engines do not, sorry if I sound to be brutal but it is actually constructive advise. |

Good points Raydar! My initial thoughts...........
1. Who is DJPOWER? 2. Looks like an EME. 3. Motor mount flange is part of the rear crankcase half. If a mounting lug breaks you have to replace the whole crankcase or rear half if sold separately. 4. Choke rod guide on the side of the crankcase is a nice touch. 5. Will the engine spin a 25X8 or 25X10 prop? 6. Quality.......maybe but this is in the eye of the beholder. Who has this engine in service and for how long? Any "real world" data? 7. Walbro carb is good. Who (brand) supplies the main, lower and upper connecting rod bearings. This always seems to be an issue. 8. What does it sell for. 9. Would probably prefer a 70 twin versus a 70 single cylinder. |

1. I'm DJ engine manufacturer . 2. EME?... Same mould factory, same casting plant, same material, same machining level, even same designers...This is the situation in China. 3. Motor mount flange is strong enough..... 4. Thank you. 5. Yes, Of course. 6.Pls repeat the second line. 7.We use best quality rod bearings.... 8. New product released. 9. Same power, light weight, low cost, reliability, width..... |
