Need an ESC for 15s

I'm currently flying a H9 Sukhoi 26mm special edition with a Rimfire 65cc on 12s and not getting enough power. Was told by GP tech that the motor needs to be flown on a 15s system to develop the advertised power. Can anyone recommend a good ESC that will handle 15s?

I know jeti makes speed controls that big. I have seen a hacker 150 with 14s on a 100cc beast with a jeti controller.

the biggest Jeti, the spin pro 300, is only 14s, same as the Spin Pro 200.
I checked the latest from Kontronic, and their new Kosmic is only 14s as well.
YGE doesn't offer anything that can handle 15s

Nothing I could find referenced on BVM and tamjets either.
I'd say get some High C packs, and prop up to get the power you need and stick with 14s.

there is the one from Hobbyking..The fat boy..not sure how much I'd trust that particular esc though.

14s should be enough if you run the current up a bit.

I would tend to agree with others that you can probably get what you are looking for by going 14S and propping up, but if you really want to look at 15S, MGM Compro (mgm-controllers.com) have several ESC's that are rated up to 15S.

I cannot speak to the quality of their esc's as I have never personally owned own, nor do I know anyone who has one.

We have run the Jeti Spin 200 and 300 on 15s. The YGE 160HV and 320HV can be ordered in a 16s version for no extra charge.

Thanks for the tips. I did look at the HK Fatboy; not terribly confident in the quality. I think you're right about the cost; will look into gas. At least the flight time will be better and probably weight will drop a bit without all the heavy batteries.

14s flys a 50cc plane with plenty of power. 7s 5000-5300 packs are becoming more common too. I use the 30c Spyder packs from Progressive RC.

I posted this question here but not had any response.

I'm considering using a Rimfire 50cc or 65cc on a recumbent trike project. I would like to hear from anyone who has used these motors and can comment on their quality and power output. I would also like to know if the shaft can be moved so that power takeoff could be from the motor mount end.
