Which kill switch ? With Bec ? Or without ?

Which kill switch are you guys using ?
The one with the Bec and then only using one battery to power everything ?
Or with the Bec and using one ignition battery and one receiver battery ?

Do you have a picture of using two batteries with a receiver?

Boils down if you want to eliminate a battery or not.

BEC is a battery elimination circuit, allowong you to run the reciever and ignition off of one, not two.
Either work as advertized.

It boils down really to personal choice.

Some questions to consider are:
Are you using HV servos.
Telemetry etc.
Mainly what are the demands of the electronics on regards to voltage. The other is the ignition..whats its voltage range and can both work off a 2s battery so you don't over power the servos. If not, then you have to consider voltage regulators and so on.
But, if your plane is kinda on the heavy side or you plan on flying IMAC with it, the weight savings could pay off.

So, its really up to you.

I'm all for redundancy, but, again, it still comes down to personal choice.

Spektrum PowerSafe or Powerbox Pioneer with a power safe switch and 2 packs, or even 2 batteries and 2 switches going into empty receiver sockets, any servo port works for power in

No I don't, but as said above...just run a battery to a switch then on to the rx...for a 2 battery set up, it's exactly the same thing again if you want redundancy. Or just use a bit larger single battery so you have plenty of mah for both the rx and ign

Perhaps on a spektrum reciever, thats true..on an Archer..not so much.

Had to switch devices. Picture I need is on the phone.

On the Archer recievers the shown ports are the only ones that can be used for power. Those being the xt60 plugs

XT30. Yes, one cannot plug power into the servo ports on the Archer receivers that use the XT30 dual power input. From the Archer R10 Pro manual:
Warning: Do not plug the additional power
supply in other port (Channel, S.Port, SBUS,
etc.) while using "XT30"battery port to power
the receiver.

However, for traditional receivers that have only servo ports on them, it is common practice to connect to battery inputs into any spare servo ports. Servo ports and battery ports share the power bus. In the event you have no spare empty port, it is also common to use a heavy-duty Y connector to add a 2nd battery to, for example, the throttle servo's port.

The ignition draws so little current (less than an amp) people over-think this. Get the Tech Aero IBEC for $40 and $10 worth of Viton fuel line and permanently forget about these 2 things.

Another vote for the Tech Aero IBEC. I use the regular version for DA and 3W ignitions and the HV for GP and DLE.

Tech-Aero IBEC. Like everyone else here is saying.

Plug the 2 packs into 2 switches and plug those into your RX using whatever plugs are required by that RX. Most all use simple servo type plugs.

I use both the mentioned. Tech Aero is easier to install. 2 wire hook ups. RCExl is 3/4 wire hook up. With the RCExl, you have to remember to unplug the battery from the kill switch....
