I have the same problem but on another forum. This forum works good for me. I tried installing those apps. But my iPad is so old I get a window saying the "apps are not compatible with this iPad". Almost time for a new iPad.

Man I glad to see someone else has the same problem with their iPad. Mine must be to old as well, I got the same response when I tried to download one of the apps as well. I hope they fix this soon, it looks like they have trying to fix this since October.

Same problem here with old Ipad. Downloaded Google Chrome. Working good now. No Amazon

Amazon should be ashamed of themselves. And if they are not directly responsible they should be doing something to stop it. Mine still does it even after I turned on the blocker.

These are Phishing attempts and are actually easy to get rid of if the site owner would do it. Amazon has nothing to do with it.

I don’t think the owner of FG cares less if there is a buck to be made.

FWIW, I have noticed that if you turn off javascript under advanced in the settings for safari on the ipad, it stops redirecting. However, then you can't watch embedded videos.

I have "0" I.T. skill or knowledge when it comes to this, but what I don't understand is that they have been working on this since Oct. and its not been fixed, could or would they be getting paid off this annoying pop-up?

Wow this thing works. I was getting the Amazon ad last week, on my iPhone then it stopped. Today it and “winning ads” started popping up. This ad blocker has stopped all of that and a lot more. Thanks Mark!

The amount of money they are loosing either by people just not using the site anymore, or installing ad blockers mostly likely far outweighs any revenue they might get from one rogue ad.

The problem as I understand it is they need to be able to report the ad that does the redirecting to whatever ad provider they use. After the redirect happens, there is no clue which ad it came from. So it's not easy, although it seems like with sufficient motivation and tooling it should be possible.
There may be other more sweeping ways to solve the problem using newer browser features, but that would undoubtedly involve a lot of rewriting and testing, and finding a balance that lets legit ads do what they need to do and yet block rogue ads may be pretty difficult.

Of course there may be a third option: switch to an ad provider that does a better job of vetting ads.
