Gotta get to the airport somehow.

Seriously, the two toys represent about 11 years of my life building from scratch or restoring 40 year old car parts. Much less a money pouch than countless hours in the garage.

A Christen Eagle can be done after this one...... But first we have to get this Challenger done.

Here is what I am thinking. All of these are very similar planes with only some minor changes between them. The Pitts Challenger, P2, Wolf Pitts are all very close to the same plane. I am designing a 50% RC Pitts style plane with the P2 wings, and the Challenger cowl/fuslage and may or may not go with the airfoiled tail (have not decided yet on this). So in the end, I will call it a Challenger for identification purpose but it may have the airfoiled tail...

Bill,
Can't wait for these giant birds. Have always loved the opening scene of the Wildberry production of the Tuscon Shootout with you flying the Challenger in the desert. As for future plans for a Christen Eagle II. I AM SO IN!!!! I have my full scale and my father and I did a different scheme frmo the traditional white and rainbow colors. If you decide for the Eagle you have my permission to use my scheme!!. The last photo is flying through the mountains just east of Phoenix, AZ.

Mark,

I have over 500 hours in 3 Eagles I have owned over the years, I saw your Eagle the other day as I believe my friend and fellow Airline Pilot (initials JT) is checking you out in it...? I have had a long career with the Eagle and Frank Christensen, Gene Soucy, Tom, and Charlie....I guess you must be the guy who was interested in my 1/3 Scale NIB Eagle....small world eh?

Not to hijack this thread.....I would love the Challenger in BLACK.....and will ORDER the 50% Eagle when you come out with it....but PLEASE do it as a Christen Eagle I-F....the single place!

RKO. Small world. No JT is not checking me out. Been flying the eagle since April. My dad and I built it back in the '90's. Just got the annual done in LaPorte and JT was ferring me back and forth from the hooks up here in the woodlands. Would be great to get a couple of these when bill puts them out. Maybe we can convince a third (JT) to get one and we can recreate the best aerobatic team in history.

Ok you Eagle guys!

When I do an Eagle ARF..... you will have to get me a check out in one! I have 400 hours in a Hiperbipe so the transition shouldn't be too bad.

I know this is not a pic of a challenger but if you went with this scheme I would not be able to resist

So, it looks like the Pitts lineage biplane design is DEFINITELY in demand !

Seems to be a lot of Christen Eagle takers too...
