REAR INDUCTION ENGINE BAFFLE

I am considering a Rear Induction Engine (either DA85 or 3W75) for a Warbird (sorry ).

Are you guys finding it necessary to build a baffle/air box behind the firewall to prevent fuel spray/glop in the fuselage.

TIA
Ira

I make 3/32" (or 1/16", would be fine) balsa pettition to prevent the air to go inside of fuselage.

Warbirds rule , no (sorry) necessary...
A reed valve rear induction engine won't let fuel back out of the carb unless the reeds leak...Since both engines have reed valves, it shouldn't be a problem....

I disagree.......when you prime the engine the carb will have fuel in it and it can and will spit out from the butterfly. We are not talking about gobs of fuel but overtime with the inablitiy to easily clean it up it can be a mess.
