I personally feel that the Founding Fathers and, equally important, the Framers, did a masterful job of setting up our Representative Constitutional Republic, but it seems that much of the thinking pervasive in our Universities and in the halls of all of our governments, Federal, State and Local, is leaning toward a more European Socialistic model. Why is that? Can someone please explain what it is that I am missing here?

I will try to keep an open mind, just not so open that my brain falls out onto the sidewalk.

A very intelligent friend of mine once told me that considering the Democracy we have and as bad as our goverment is right now, it is FAR better than any other government.

We do not have a Democracy. Never have. (and I hope we never do)
