DX-18 flap to throttle mix

Hi guys,
I used to have a JR-9503 radio that I could mix my flaps to my throttle.

I would set the flap sw. on the radio to a down position and say I was coming in to land and I had to go around, with the mix to throttle, I could set the throttle to retract the flaps at say 1/4 to 1/3 throttle, make another go around and as I would bring the throttle back down to 1/3 or so (what ever I had set it up for) the flaps would extend again. I just liked doing it this way as opposed to throwing a switch all the time. Any way, I have tried to do the same on my DX-18 and can not figure out how to set it up. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed

My JR 12X had the same flap to throttle feature but the DX 18 does not have this. May be a way to do a mix but just not my area of expertise.

Would interest me too so I'll keep watch to see if anyone suggests a way.

Thanks macboss,
Shame it is not set up for it, always a lot of fun with that setup and not have to worry about flipping a sw. if you are to engrossed in the flight.

Really not a great idea. This was mentioned recently in the DX thread on RCG. You might do a search in that thread for more info.

Not a great idea? Can you explain why?
I loved how it worked on my JR-9503, could set it up with flaps or flaperons, flying low or high wing trainers, with a little wind, I could get them to fly backwards and the landings were SLOW! That was fun for me.

I started to look at the DX posts on that site but with over 64,471 posts 4299 pages, I have to say, it is not that important to me, I will search elsewhere for help.

Thanks for the reply.

Fentonflyers,
I found the info you refer to and I understand why they are apprehensive about that setup.
I am aware of the stall issue and the way I set it up, it compensates for that.
Now I just have to figure out how to set it up in the radio.

Thanks for the info,
Ed
