This is the one, the pilot did the only thing he could do on a bad bounce like this, full throttle and fly it out.

WAR makes or made several 50% warbird aircraft. They are standard box construction and then sheeted in foam for shape. They can be made to be very pretty. I think the FW 190 is the best looking one of the bunch.

I've seen both a corsair and a mustang in person. Both had lots of detail done. Looked great on the ground and in the air. Not too sure I could squeeze my big self in one though.

165 MPH AND 3.2 GPH, unheard of! probably a great little commuter; I've often thought about building one of the mustangs, now more than ever because it uses a Honda engine and with Avgas at well over $4.00 per gallon the auto gas option would be attractive, plus nowadays we can get well over two hundred horsepower out of the Prelude engine without much effort. I might just have to order a set of plans.
