What battery connectors for a 12S set up?

I am relatively new to electric flight and after starting of with some smallish electrics (64" or less) I have now embarked on the giant scale route. I have recently acquired the Goldwing RC Corvus 540 racer 50-60cc and converting to electric. I am using the Dualsky GA6000.8 V2 motor plus matching Opto ESC with a 24x8 JXF wooden electric prop. The 2X 6S Lipos I am using to make up the 12S are fitted EC5 connectors, but I am not sure they are going to be up to it. Any suggestions? The lipos are both 5000 mAh, so with sensible throttle management, not 3D to start with, I wondered what duration I am likely to get.

I have a flying buddy that flies that setup with EC5 connectors without issue. His is in an EF 30cc Slick580 set up on electric.

EC5 are great for 12S-6000mah setups, I'm using EC5s on 12S Hacker Q80 and XPWR 60cc setups. If memory serves me correct, they are good for 120a continuous, or 5300 watts on a 12S.

Thanks guys for all your input, that is indeed reassuring. I must admit I too have put an AS150 Anti spark connecter in the circuit.

I use castle 6mm connectors for my 30cc stuff and up. They are rated for I think 200 amps continuous.

I wired my packs with the castle connector to connect to my speed control, and a separate set of Dean's connectors to connect to my charger (use whichever low-cost connector you choose - XT60, EC5, deans, etc). This way I'm not buying more of the expensive connectors to make charging leads, etc. I don't have a picture, but it sounds more complicated than it is.

It all depends on the current you are expecting from the system.
I've been using XT90s in all my 60" birds and 30cc but have ordered AS150s connectors for my first 50cc setup (coming soon ).
The peak current on my 30cc birds is around 80A so the XT90s work very well. On the 50cc setup I expect a 130A peak and this is why I chose the AS150s.

Put your data here and check the results, this is my favorite power system calculator, developed by one of the most knowledgeable guys on this subject, Aeroplayin.
My setup will be very similar (Rotomax 50cc +12S 3300mAh 65C + 23x10 wood prop) and I expect around 6min flying a mix of 3D/XA.

Lots of valuable info about connectors here.
I saw a really nice connector comparison table once but can't find it anymore.
Don't forget to use an anti-spark device on any 6S setup or above.
