Hempel Aircraft distributor in Aus

Hi fellas,

Just on the off chance if anyone is interested, PerthRC has been made the distributor in Australia for Bill Hempel's aircraft.

Cheers.

Brian told me that he will be stocking some. I have no idea how many or what. I have committed to one from the first Container (a 50% Yak) I know he was hoping to get a decent QTY on order to make the shipping affordable.

He got the 14MZ Baterries in last week.

We are very lucky people here in the West. Perth RC is really stepping up to the mark with agencies for some of the best products available (again - or as usual).

These sorts of planes would be out of reach to us in the West if it wasn't for Brian. Especially as the truckies seem to be charging millions of dollars per trip across the country now (based on what the transport companies charge us to send an ARF) and the apparent change in the law that now makes it compulsory to work very hard at destroying anything like an ARF if it gets transported out of state. (Crushed boxes and driving garden stakes through the centre of the boxes seem to be the most efficient ways for them to achieve compliance with that law).

the good part about all of this is that the trucks that take products back east are almost empty and the freight charges are a lot less. its also safer for the planes because they can "top load" a plane properly.

Re: Hempel Aircraft distributor in Aus

I spoke with the owner of Perth RC about a 3m yak and wanted to know an approximate cost. His reply was that purchase price would be pretty close to the retail price listed on the hempel website, plus a portion of the overall shipment shipping cost. Approximately $100 or so.

cheers,

Jeff

So that means you'll be looking at around $1600au to $1700au for a 3m yak? That's a really good price compared to the other 40% wood arf's available here in AUS.
