Rob Holland Wins Gold!!
Rob Holland wins the 2nd Free Unknown flight at the 2019 World Aerobatic Championships, and has moved up to 5th overall, just 130 points out of a Bronze overall medal, with 1 sequence flight remaining.
This is the 1st time in a VERY long time that a USA pilot has won an individual medal in a sequence flight.. Rob has won the 4-minute program at the last 4 straight WACs, but that doesn't count towards the overall championship.. |

Rob has extended the art of aerobatic awesomeness pioneers like Leo and Wayne did!

He put in a solid flight for round 4. Currently in 3rd, but there are a couple pilots still to fly who could knock him back.. We'll have to see how it all works out after TBL too, as the French judge was rather generous with his scores for the French pilots..

Rob finishes 5th overall.. He won the 2nd unknown, took 3rd in the 3rd unknown, and had the highest combined score in all 3 unknown flights. The only reason he isn't standing on the top step was a not quite perfect 1st round.. Simply awesome flying.
Team USA also took the silver team medal.. Still waiting on the final results for the 4-minute freestyle, but I know Jim Bourke took 6th.. Fantastic showing for Team USA, and GREAT results for Jim in only his 2nd WAC, especially when you consider he hasn't been flying acro that long compared to his fellow competitors.. |

He’s The first pilot I ever saw do a crankshaft, hover and KE spin in a full scale plane. Amazing pilot. Hope he comes back to Westover next year! Awesome and glad he’s representing the US
