Yeah it is pretty bling. Would suit my new computer too.........

This is my first home built computer, I just picked out a case from an online store and this is the one that showed up!!!
Was a bit more..... bling than I expected.

Mike our local electronics shop only has 5w 10Ohm or 5w 4.7Ohm ceramic wire wound resistors

Would 2 of the 5w 4.7 ohm in series do the job

WOW I did not even speak to Mike about this till yesterday afternoon and now I have a high output AC adaptor . There are much cheaper power supplies but this one is BLING should look good with my Fromeco 5 port charger.

No, it must be at least 10W, 10 ohm from my experience. Anything less than 10W will not put enough of a load on the board...

Re: Building a 12V Power Supply From Computer Power Supply

I made one a few years ago with the 5 volt side. I took 3 power supplies
and using (5v) wire connected it to the ground of the next PS... Did this 2 times
and got 15.3 volts... At over 30 amps.. My project drew almost 30 amps and
wires got hot and there were a few sparks... but it all worked...

Good info for RC guys
