This thread is starting to resemble some of those other aviation boards that I can't stand.

The 31 does have its "quirks". Why doesn't alt select automatically arm when you set the new altitude and set up a vertical guidance mode? I have no friggen idea.....

If you use the vertical speed mode in the Boeing, you can drive away from the selected alt. They all have something going on.....

i gave the UPS philly chief pilot a ride today in my 8. One thing he said that is universal with pilots, and it's a standard joke at any place, what's the difference between pilots and their planes? When the planes shut down their whining eventually stops but the pilots whining never does... ;-)

LOL what a thread this turned out to be. The only thing I would like is an aural alert for descent points. Seems the guys in the cave figured out if they give us the PD to descend four thousand feet in 200 miles it is less they have to do. Problem is I cant remember that long and the carrot aint big enough to remind me.

Yea or we get the stupid "High Speed" alert. Why give us a useless alert like that who cares if we overspeed.

I don't have to move them, except for taxi and the initial advance for takeoff.
