We have a couple DA50's at the field and all are so smooth that they almost seem electric. I had a DA60 that wasn't exactly a shaker but it didn't compare to those 50's. Power was another matter, the DA60 is very stout. Now I have a DA70 on 3DHS Edge 540 and it's best of both worlds.

compared to a fifty they rattle teeth but those guys on the other page have dentures so do not notice. Probabaly a better way of stating what I meant in my original post but this site is sooooooo pro DA.

My 60s shake a little, but nothing like an 80 single I once had. The 50 will be definitely smoother but the 60 really is a performer. The old ones had more of a reputation for shaking, they are much better now.

Was the 80 a DA?

the DA 60 is a 50 with Ballz and a DA 120 is a 100 with Teeth ! depends on what you use it for , my 120s 70s all go in 3D planes and have way to much power

After checking specs for the 50, 60, and 70 I decided to get the DA-70. I like twins and this one will fit in my plane with little cutting.

best choice, it has become my favorite engine. nothing can idle as low as a well tuned DA70
