Re: Gas Engines Manual

I would love to take more pics but that plane hit the trashbag late summer. I will be setting up an H9 260 soon and will do a very detailed thread on how to do a gas install. Will be as much to my benifit as I have only set up a couple gassers.
That plane was running a 3 line fuel system. Clunk line to carb, vent line with a loop in the hose down firewall and out the bottom of the cowl, and a fill/drain line with a spout to the bottom of the tank (to drain the fuel) plumbed out beside the vent line.
setup throttle servo much like any other plane, I like to use a ball link on the carb side and a clevis on the servo side.
hope this helps

Re: Gas Engines Manual

Gas Engine Manuals, I have a DA-50 also DA-150 great engines but there manuals are not very good.
Desert Aircraft really need to get there manuals updated so that there is a well laid out spec sheet an exploded view of the engine. Some electrical setups with diagrams as some people cannot just understand a text version, the eyes see well laid out diagrams much better.
Also what would be nice is have a section to describe how to setup a fuel tank for Gas engines as this would also be great for the new guys or gals getting into gas engines.

Well that is just my view

Hey Green,

Did you ever think about a fuel dot for your fill and drain? They work sweet and is a nice clean set-up. It keeps you from reaching under to use the fill line.
