1/4 Scale Pepino Waco

Nice well built plane. Pepino 25% WACO. 91 inch wingspan, clean 4.2 Ci (70 cc) First place engine, JR ST126MG servos on El, Al, Rud. Spectrum DS821 on throttle. Spectrum receiver and unknown ign and extra batteries. I bought the plane from the builder in Hurricane WV years ago and have admired it. Obviously local pickup as I no longer have the large SUV needed to carry it.

I.m interested in the Waco or the Weeks. What dates in September will you be coming to SC and how far south will you be coming? Also, do you know the weight and the last time the engines were run? Thanks. RD

HI RD, my trip is to Hilton Head 20 to 26 Sept in a motorhome. I have to see if either of the planes will fit in the under chassis storage area. Motors on both planes not run by me and I have had them both for over 5 years. They both are very clean, turn over easily with good compression. I tend to fall in love with these giant planes, buy them, tinker with them, clean them if they need it, sometimes update electronics, etc. and just look at them. Have lots of smaller electrics that are so much easier to take flying. Now at 75 years young its time for someone else to enjoy the big ones. A few years ago a father/son rented a trailer, drove from Florida to VA and took home five or six large planes. I'll see if I can get a weight on these guys and check to insure they fit in the motorhome and get back to you.

Joe

The weeks weighs 19.6 pounds. The Pepino Waco weighs 28.8 pounds. And the lazy ace, that you didn’t ask about weighs 28.7 pounds.
