Started to build a 1/4 scale (2845mm wingspan/112").

I decided to make the wing into three for easy handling and trasportation.

Still a long way to go.

I got the outer wing section built up, and started sheeting the center section. I had to postpone further construction on the P40 due to several other smaller projects I have to complete. If I get a chance I will upload more pictures.

Master plug almost done. Some detailing still to do. Next, ....scale detailing.....a very long process.

The P40 is my absolute favorite WWII fighter.Wasn't the fastest,or the most maneuverable,or the most heavily armed.But it fought in every theater of operations,and done itself and their pilots proud. Do you plan on using a 3 or 4 cyl Kolm?

I am actually building this for a customer. His father worked during WW2 on those planes. It will be a fully custom built airplane one of a kind. At this point I do not know what engine will go into it.

I definitely would use a inline engine, if it would be for me. Kolm would be a good choice. Maybe in the future.
