not really a fan boy. I just cant personally justify spending, in some cases, double the money for the "better than anything" engine when I have no reason to. The engines I run have never ever had a problem, therefore, spending the extra monies seems pointless and stupid for the customer service I dont need....

Id love to own a DA70 and may if I ever downsize. Right now they have the market cornered in that size. If there was a DLE70 I would certainly buy it over the DA ONLY because of the absurd pricing....whether one considers it absurd or not is opinion.

Yup....there are times when I simply don't need a "Snap-On" to get the job done.......a "Harbor/Freight" works just fine! ......YMMV

I wonder why DLE didnt make the 70 twin instead of the 60 twin. Maybe cause the DLE 35 cylinders were rear exhaust Im gonna guess.

I have both and am happy with each for different reasons but I like that the Dle' are bringing many more people into gasses than ever and that's helping the plane choices we enjoy today as well.

Unless you're a mechanic. Weekend flyer are ya? I wish I could fly on the weekends. I'm lucky if I can get out twice a month.

Sounds like someone needs to use up some sick days before it gets too cold.

I wish. I work for a biotechnology company. In the summer and winter i'm a mechanic. Come fall and spring I'm planting or running a combine among other things.

Next week will be the possible end of flying season for me, for I will most likely drop off the face of the earth for a month and a half.

Me frowning now
