that landing was impressive... i just am curious what broke when he hit the ground mid flight... he actually hit pretty hard there.

Yes that guy is indeed far out and an incredible video - camera work, background, lighting, hi-res. What kills me is flying behind the tree after the "touch and go" at 1:50!

The dead stick landing was one of Frank Noll’s signature moves. He would do a very impressive aerobatic descent ending with a point roll and landing at his feet.

I froze the video when first contact the ground seem can be a tail wheel bent up or I'm might be wrong. He just pulled at the very right critical moment to save then continue till the end.
