So probably a last hoorah but next build maybe a self designed Extra 330 and I'm looking to go ultra light with ZDZ 100NG power. So maybe as big as 40%. All my 35% planes use light ply pieces 36" long or shorter. I presume that 40% planes use longer pieces or do they just add yet another joint? Obviously that can be done and if the join is on a bulkhead its bound to be strong enough. But I'd still like to know how the big dogs and manufactors do it. I've yet to reestablish connections with the local IMAC crew so I'm asking here. I can go up to 62" workspace but surely thats over kill...
