Question
40% Carden Edge 540 -- right thrust?

What is the prescribed amount of right thrust for a 40% Carden Edge 540? I'm refreshing mine that originally had wooden stand-offs for a 3W 157 and have long since disappeared. I'm planning on picking up an SWB mount and they have 2.5, 3 and 3.5 degree options.

Thanks!

I think 2.5 or 3 degree would work.

I went ahead and ordered both a 2.5 and 3° mount from SWB -- they're on clearance pricing so too good of a deal to pass up..! Turns out both my Carden 260 and Cap 232 have 2.5° SWB mounts; still undecided for this Edge, but now I have options to try.

Your vertical up-line flight characteristic will soon tell if one needs more right thrust or not
2 or 3 deg is normal , both my 43% cardens , 540 & 260 ,run 2.5 Deg SWB mount

2-3 degrees of right thrust and 1-2 degrees of down is good for that initial setup.

Have a look here on this thread for the Peter Goldsmith Trim Chart,,, It Works
