SMFC IMAC Challenge
The SMFC contest is happening June 27-28 2020!
Welcome to the inaugural SMFC IMAC Contest.
Southeastern Modelers Flying Club (SMFC) is located on the NC / SC state line, conveniently located between Wilmington NC and Myrtle Beach SC. The 800’ grass runway literally crosses the state line so that you can take off in one state and land in the other! A favorite photo op is to snap a picture of your plane crossing (or hovering for 3D pilots) right over the line…
We have incredible facilities with electrical power along the flight line for charging batteries. There are six 30A power outlets for standard trailers and sixteen 30A/50A power outlets available in the RV camping area. (Electricity only, no water or sewer hookup). Trailer and RV Power for the weekend is $25. Reserving these spaces in advance strongly encouraged.
Primitive tent camping and RV Camping sites without power are FREE.
We have porta-potties on-site and an air-conditioned clubhouse. Plus, a covered area with picnic tables is located behind the main flight station where you can watch all the flying action.
Lunch and dinner will be available on Saturday with lunch available on Sunday. Meals provided at a nominal cost to support the club. Menu and prices are TBD.

- The field will be open at 8 am on Friday for camping arrivals, practice and a judge’s review.
- SMFC allows 2.4ghz ONLY and follows the AMA safety code.
- Contest Entry Fee: $40 for IMAC Members, $60 NON-MEMBERS.
- NO SPECTATOR OR PARKING FEES, COME AND ENJOY THE SHOW.
