I have one and started on it but I set it aside while I build another plane. All I've done to it so far is set up the wings but haven't joined them yet. Hopefully I will get back to working on it in a couple weeks, spring is coming.

My equipment is
Best pilot
Dynamic Balsa scale cockpit
DLE-61 with compact Jtec Pitts
Tech Aero IBEC
Sierra Main retracts with 5" aluminum rims
Robart tail retract
Hitec 5665MH hv servos
Spektrum AR9110 powersafe receiver

I've seen several flying and everyone says they fly like a trainer. They do require a bunch of lead in the nose and one of the ones I looked at had the EME starter on a DLE55. Very impressive. All of it was in the cowl.

I have not had the chance to order the other items yet.
I am very interested in using weight that could be needed.
If the plane needs nose weight then I am interested in knowing
more about the electric starter..... from the pictures I have looked up
online on the A6M2 you cant really see the wheels to determine what
type of wheels are needed.... but I did find a pr at Magnum Rc..... look cool
they are inflatable .....which aluminum wheels did you go with?

I went with sierra wheels. Shouldnt need much nose weight since the zero comes with a lot of lead bolted in it from the factory.

I have not opened the entire package up yet.. still working on
remodeling my workshop.... once I get the box on the work bench I will take pictures I have been thinking about a build thread... it takes time but I think it would be worth it.. since I have not found another build thread on this plane.. may strike up some interest... I emailed a eme dealer... he has the electric starters for the 50cc 60cc motors.. He called me back earlier and stated that the DA motor shafts are tapered and that the electric starters do not work on the DA motors.. Just my luck lol
so I looked at the sierra wheels.. Do they come with ball bearings? and are they air inflatable?

Retracts

One of the things I have noticed on the Robart Retracts they are not scale appearing...
how I know .. cause I bought them already.. after seeing the Sierra version the hinged part is at the right spot the Robarts they are like the P-51 seems like that Robart just wanted to get a set of retracts out on the market Fast... regardless as to the scale appearance..

I have not taking the parts out of my box yet and after looking at your wing the wing is actually made with the notched out part for the robart retracts.
