Best to start with slow rolls and work up to RH's. At least that's my recommendation.
Good video though. |

That's awesome to hear .
BTW, What would you like to see on future 3D Clinics? The only requirement is that it's a maneuver that I can do ... so no rolling harrier loop for now . |

Re: BoneDoc's 3D Clinic - Rolling Harrier Spin / Weeble Wobble
I guess I better start practicing then .
I'm in the process of becoming serious in IMAC (sportsman that is... I still suck bad when it comes to drawing straight lines and keeping my wings level), and while you can win with a DX7, I need all the advantage I could get. So after weighing all the options, I chose Hitec. Further discussions on the details can be carried out in a separate thread if you'd like . |

If you get RH's down, starting with slow rolls. RH Loops are not that hard. Just takes a bit of timing, and getting the right part of the plane to show at the right time. (IE It won't pull out of the downside of a RH loop sideways)

Re: BoneDoc's 3D Clinic - Rolling Harrier Spin / Weeble Wobble
I've been working on RH's on the sim(it's cold here) I found if I turn the sim speed down it is easier then using less throw(Dual rates) on the surfaces. I still don't have them down yet but I'm getting closer.
thanks Josh your video here and on RCG have helped, as have the explination of the move. Now if I could even get close with piro flips I'd be golden lol |

Thanks for the kind words fellas. Inn appreciates them as well. It certainly helps when dragging the family out for an outing either in the 100+ Texan summer, or 30's weather of CO .

For the REAL men that have LONG thumbs (like myself) JK
I think the gimball sticks are too long, and make for difficulty in these types of <O></O> Maneuvers so this is what I have done to combat this::::<O></O> <O></O> REDUCE THE EXPO on the ELEVATORS on HIGH RATES>>>><O></O> The makes it much less difficult to go from extreme up elevator to down elevator<O></O> with movements of the thumbs.....<O></O> <O></O> I went from not being able to keep the "ROLL"<O></O> to having Very little difficulty in doing the maneuver....<O></O> <O></O> Hope that gives a-bit of insight to some...<O></O> |
