Perhaps look up and attend the next and nearest contest. Generally, people there can help
with finding IMAC pilots in your area. Or call local clubs and pick brains......good luck...

Jump in your car and head to Muncie.....your lucky, this weekend is a IMAC Judging School at the AMA. This is really the best way to get a great intro to IMAC and meet members from the North Central Region, here is a link to the event:

Beware, you might get addicted!! I did! Not amazing to spectate but once you step in front of the judges, fly a round, step away, it's possible you'll need a 12 step program! Hope you find as much enjoyment on this facet of the hobby that I, and so many others, have! Don't hesitate to ask questions or for help. Best group of goofballs I've ever met!

Thanks Tom... I almost did that... But not going to be able to make the trip this weekend.

I went to an IMAC contest about 10 years ago and a judging clinic that year as well. So I understand IMAC.

I have flown Pattern, but few and far between contests. I will probably start out in BASIC for a couple of contests or so and move into Sportsman when I get the sequences down.

I was hoping that posting on FG, somebody fairly close is into IMAC. I know about the Posey Flyer, IN contest in a month or so... which isn't very far from me actually maybe 20 to 30 minutes.

Hey bbeedy, thanks... Yep, the ole bug... Just bought the AJ ARS 300 and going electric with it. Should get me through sportsman anyway... :-)

Larry, while I'm not close to Evansville, I will be in Muncie 3 times this year for contests. Next time being 5/20 for the Central Indiana IMAC Challenge.

If you decided to be there I will coach, call for, and help you the entire weekend.

Besides me, I'm sure practically everyone else there will be willing to do the same.

Lou, I did see that contest and would love to be there... Reading back through a couple posts, It looks like I keep dodging things...

For Seymour, it probably would not go well for me if I told my wife were weren't going to the Talladega 500 cause I want to fly in a contest.

I will make the Posey contest if it is still on. Attendance looks low for last year...

I paid my IMAC dues, so that's a commitment, right?

It's been about 10 years, but hope to see you somewhere on the trail...

here is a link to the IMAC N/C Schedule page. Since you are already a member of IMAC you shouldn't have any problems logging in. There are a lot of IMAC pilots that live around you. you just have to go to a meet and get to know them.
