Since depron has been slowing down it gets to be a pain, but I've been keeping busy doing the left over depron planes I've got. Not stopping til I run out! Haha

when I heard depron was gonna start getting harder to get, I stocked up...I still have roughly 50 sheets of 3mil and 30 some odd sheets of 2 mil.... sorry not for sale

Haha I have 90 sheets of warped 3mil and then I got a 6 pack of beer and a hatred for depron so there's that. They sure as heck did not want to ship me straight foam. 3 different times I asked for usable foam.

About that time guys. Pull out that foam nd get the fleet ready... Started out with dollar store foam board and a pencil. Now I got a Slick 540.. So far the weight of the painted foam is 46 grams. What isn't shown is the other side of the fuselage and under the wing is fully milled out by hand. 3mm down to 1mm.

I'm reviving this thread as I posted when I was 10 years old in 2008. I'm now 25 and was able to get access to my account.

I grew up flying a Pizazz .40 with my grandpa, who got me into the hobby. I would spend hours upon hours downloading planes and flying 3D in the simulator, but never had the plane to do so. Now, I live across the country and I've re-sparked my interest in flying as YouTube suggested a foamy video on my home page one day. Wow! Things have changed haha. I was in the nitro/72mhz days and now everything is 2.4ghz and so cheap!

I was obsessed with one day getting a foamie (customizing it) and flying 3D, but never could afford it/didn't know how to build them on my own. I found an Extra 300 blank outline to make schemes and would use colored pencils to design my own schemes .. taking a lot of inspiration from you guys in this forum.

Is anyone still active anymore? Anyone still painting their own foamies?

I am now an adult with some play money so I ordered a radio, new electronics and a TH Crack Yak to get back into the hobby with!

One of these days I will get a blank kit and make my own custom scheme, but for now, I'm excited to finally receive my long-awaited foamie and get back to flying!

I just wanted to thank you all for how much activity you've all put into this thread. It was great to skim through and go down memory lane.

Go for it. Been a while for everyone since ETOC isnt around anymore. Go paint and post some pics! I always enjoyed it myself.

Ahh didn't know. Was hoping people still flew the foamies pretty hard.

I definitely will! Let me receive and build this Twisted Hobbys kit first, then I'll add a few more planes to the collection haha.
