How does the zdz 180 on cans compare to the GP on stock - any real difference other than noise? I just finished putting together a krill laser with a DA 170 on stocks that I plan to maiden on Sunday - could always go that route again too... so many power choices, can’t make up my mind. ‍♂️

The Zdz 180 on cans turned 6210 on the falcon 31x12. The Gp178 on stock mufflers was about 6280 on the same 31x12. The ZDZ 195 on can was a little over 6300... but got a little hot (might have been a little lean).

Would a Krill fuel tray fit over the wing tube? I noticed you have your tanks strapped on the tube, curious if that was needed for CG? I also plan to use a GP 180, but With canisters instead of stocks.

Its my own experience but the DA 170
is a true powerhouse on pipes but not much more than a stock 150 when on mufflers.

I have no idea on the krill tray.

The tanks have 2 straps each - 1 of them is through a tray I made in front of the wing tube (using 3mm plywood) and the other is around the wing tube. (usually the CG close to the wing tube).

I would like to get numbers from your performance with the cans once available. With cooler and low humidity weather - the GP178 I have seems to be screaming. Pulled 6380rpm earlier in the week with the Falcon 31X12 on the ground.

Anyone running tuned pipes care to comment? Planning a GP178 and would like to run pipes. What header and pipe combo do you find fit well? Thanks for any suggestions.

Donít think you would have the length to put tuned pipes in , Jtec canisters fit in by 3-4Ē for length

any one looking for the rubber grommets for the servo trays ? i found that the futaba a-700 servos have dual rubber that links the 2 holes together so these cant really be used , even the jr 8911's don't really fit the servo tray
managed to get them from Mouser.com
part number 5164-5104 rubber grommet 0.23c ea
part number 534-46 eyelet 0.087c ea

fit is perfect

Do yourself a favor and look at the JMB rear dump cannisters. I have a 195 on TRB-80 cannisters on a Dalton 300ML and it is turning a Mejzlik 30 x 13 EVO 3 blade at 6000 on the ground and 7000 in the air. It only has about 4 gallons of fuel through it so it will get better as it breaks in. Just my 2 cents :-)
