The firewall nut plates are now available and on our web site. The nutserts are aluminum which keeps the weight of the entire assembly to one ounce. The draw back to the aluminum threads in the nutserts is the need to accept lower torque settings when tightening the engine bolts (you do use a torque wrench for this don't you). Lots of torque when you are squeezing wood is of little value anyhow. I include a little bottle of Loctite with the nut plates. This will keep the engine bolts tight even after the inevitable compression of the fire wall squeezed between the nut plate and the back of the engine.
