Isn't this the guy who was going to try and load up a foamy with explosives? Maybe the plot was more indepth than the original article indicated.

Yep.. he had purchased a $200 F-86 Sabre off of E-bay.... This all started on 9/29/2011.

This guy was a graduate student in engineering... you think he'd know that you can't fit 25 pounds of C-4 in a foamy ducted fan jet... I guess he has a long time to reconsider his plans now.

Me thinks there was more behind the plot than was ever let out. But it does show the fear and concerns that "outsiders" can have relative to our hobby, and the need for us to protect our hobby by not doing stupid things that could/would generate greater concern and attention.
