How does this fuel dot work?

I just got a new fuel dot. It doesnít have any instructions and the front looks to be in German. Anyone know how this works and how I hook it up with fuel line?

You cut a hole just large enough to fit the filler thru. The loose washer type piece goes on the inside of the airframe and the screws go thru the outer piece and thru the airframe into the washer holes and screw untill it pulls up tight. Attach your fuel line to the silver tube and put a fuel line clamp on it.

Note..take the washer piece from the filler and use it as a template to draw your hole to be drilled and to mark your screw holes..

Thats a push lock fitting. Push your fuel line into it, and it locks in place. To remove, push in on the fuel line, push in on the blue part, and remove the line.

Does the line go over it or inside?

Does this product require a special type and size of fuel tubing? I would be grateful to see how it is that the fuel line should be attached to the end on the inside of the plane.

its a Festo type fitting... jets have been using them for years for fuel... i have about 4 of them in my jet as they seal tight and don't allow air in...

the key is make sure your fuel line is cut nice and square and they wont leak

Sure looks slick, I'm impressed. Another dot that I like that is designed for us simple folks is the J.E.M. fuel dot. I don't much care for any of the others I have had over the years. I may try one of
these Emcotec…..very cool
