The DA 70 would be great on this plane. But, it wont fit, not even close without cutting a good amount on each side for the plug caps. I took off the shakin' 80cc and replaced it with a DA60 with stock muffler. Believe it or not, the DA60 has plenty of power. I was able to get the weight down from 24.5 pounds with the 80 to 21.0 pounds, which involved moving batteries, and taking off some lead, and lighter spinner and prop. and batteries etc I weighed on a scale before and after so these are exact weights. For comparison, my H9 Carden Extra 300 60cc plane has a DA60 and a planebender canister and weighs 20.5 pounds, and it is no slouch.

I used the 24x8 Falcon prop first and it was around 7,000 rpm on the ground. Then, I switched to a 25x8W Falcon and this prop worked much better on this plane, around 6,500 on the ground. The motor only has about 7-8 flights but it has decent vertical pull. It is not nearly as ballistic as the 80, but it will pull out of a hover at half. I am very happy with the choice of the DA60. If you are die hard 3D flyer, it will probably not be enough for you, but for me it was good and I like to pull vertical uplines till you can't hardly see it anymore, and it will do it, just not quite as fast as the 80 would.
