Just have a set of plans and the templates are on the plans. Jack Strickland was from the Dallas area I believe. Let me dig them out and get a set copied for ya.

Super excited to start this build. I have a g62 for this and my concern for the strickland plans is the cowl. I cant seem to find anyone that makes fiberglass parts for these plans. Could I use the flair kit cowling?

I flew Jack's Stearman back in the 90s. At that time he had a Sachs 5.8 on it which was ridiculously overpowered but very fun to fly. The plane was originally designed for the Sachs 4.2 I believe. Unless you are planning on a gear reduction drive to spin a much larger prop I am not sure that G62 will be big enough and even then will be lacking on power. It may fly scale "PT-17" like.

Thx for the info..I also have an 80cc that i can put on it if needs be...the 4.2 is probably around 70cc or so ...part of the fun figuring the power system there are videos of people building and flying that Flair Stearman that I've found using the g62 and it seemed scale or a tad more per the video at least..trying to find some comparison just to get an idea.

Well if you have the space to haul it and want something big and impressive Balsa USA still makes their 1/3 scale.

That would be awesome with a big Moki radial on the front and a smoke system But of course would require some serious $$$$ and hauling setup.

How bad you want one.
A Bob Dively 1/4 scale Super Stearman kit. Kit includes pant's, cuffs, 6-1/2" C.B. Associates wheels, Robart oleo struts as well as the original kit aluminum gear, a cowl, and aluminum spinner. This kit has been opened obviously but as far as I can tell it has never even been unpacked.

Flair PT17 Kit, New in box

I am selling my Flair PT17 Stearman Kit that I bought new. It can be seen on Craigslist under Aviation at Ann Arbor Michigan. Model is as I received it, still in the box, untouched.
