ok... i saw uncle frank's dalton 42% extra 260, and something about the way the cowl meets the fuse, and the slick tail section look, i had to make something like it!
here i have so far: all the fuse exept one stringer pannel, and turtle deck, the elevator halfs,99%done, and the single beveled (i regret) rudder. im using all 3mm, and soon to use some carbon bracing internally. this is all i can get done for a while until i get back from flying at the AMA 2011 show. current weight is 51g! length is 27'', ws: 30''.

some of you are probably wondering what happened to the 24'' balsa mini dalton??!! well,, i looked at it the other day, not even close to scale, its going to fly like a rock, and its not the strongest design. needs to be redesigned. this dalton replica is closer to scale. im going to cut some 1/16'' aluminum landing gear, and im going to mold some depron landing gear. the canopy, i dont know where im going to get a big enough sheet of clear plastic to use, but thats out of the question for now. have any of you tried the E-SKY 8g servos? im very satisfied... very close to the futaba s3114's. just 3oz less in torque/in. but very close, and smooth. try em out!!!
