COOL John, but I thought I saw someone across the street in the second story window trying to get a bead on it with a Pellet gun. Ha.. very cool. See ya soon. Kevin.

Kevin, great looking bird. I can appreciated the elbow grease that goes into a project like that. Hope I can be there for the maiden with my camera.

Jerry

Missed all at field Saturday, nice day! Actually got my little Saber jet off the ground and back in one piece!

Thanks John, I was able to remember your Solartex ironing instructions and although I dreaded it, it went pretty well. Kevin.

Looking good Kevin. My scratch built Extra 300 is ready too but I'm leaving Friday to a job in Arkansas. I will try to maiden before leaving. Will see, in the meantime here's a teaser!! (Engine vibrations are minimal so either DA fixed the 85 or I got really lucky).

That looks great Tito, I look forward to seeing it fly. I have heard they got the 85 corrected. It should be good to go. Kevin.

Well I flew it today. Took it down safely after finding out it was tail heavy but I knew the CG was off. Right now I'm removing as much wood out of the tail area to remove the weight ballast I had in the nose. I will recover it after I'm done. Luckily is just the bottom white color and the blue line

Great job Tito glad to hear it went well, hope I am as lucky. Well I got a good Engine test on the Quadra 75 Sat and it all went well. The Engine had a reputation for not idling well and on the first few start ups that held true. After taking a close look at the carb it seems at some point the butterfly had been removed and then installed backwards once that was corrected it idled great around 1500 rpms and had good pull on the top so all is good. The CG was checked and it fell to the nose as it should with NO weight to be added anywhere HOO RAH. The finished weight comes out at just under 31 lbs which is lite for a wing this size and if things are straight enough it should fly well. Now just looking for some good weather and better nerve to see what happens. See you all soon. Kevin.

Well the Mustang flew today. Maiden went great then put 3 more nice flights on Her. This bird flies like a Baby doll and I am very happy with the outcome. All systems functioned as they should have and the Quadra Engine ran great as well. Weather was perfect I thought a bunch would be out but only a few there. See you guys soon. Kevin.

Sweet, I'm glad everything went well. Hope it brings lots of fun! Looks really good, knowing now that also flies really good makes it a complete package. Mine just need a little more right thrust and should be done for good.

Tito.
