Thanks for the heads up Jerry.How is everyone wiring up the lights are you going right into the receiver or using another battery?Is there a switch that can be wired into the receiver to turn them on and off at the transmitter?

I upgraded to the full Electrodynamics LED system - wing tip nav + anti-collision strobes, wig-wag landing lights and beacon.

http://www.electrodynam.com/rc/EDR-117/index.shtml

The included lights are 12v so can handle a 3S LiPo wired directly or through switch. Not aware of a 12v LED controller to enable turning on/off from Tx.

I have ordered one of these to switch the lights on and off. I will mix it to my flaps.

https://www.dimensionengineering.com...cts/picoswitch, this is what I used, just connect the light wires then plugged it into rx and assigned a switch. I used them in the past when running 1/4 & 1/5 scale cars, it was used as my kill switch. They have a lot of neat products

An rcexl optical switch like the one used to kill your ignition will work.

As requested, engine pix w DA 70. the standoffs are homemade from 1/4 ply, and are laminated in 7 layers. I would recommend adding another 1/8". Also, with the stock muffler lengths it took a fair amount of cutting, so you might want to cut those down closer to the bottom of the cowl. the mounting holes of the 70 align perfectly with what is supplied, but you will need a shorter bolt. throttle is nothing fancy, but works just fine. z bend at the servo and a 2/56" bolt at the engine. ignition is doubled taped to the bottom of the firewall.

What length would you recommend cutting the mufflers down to?

Does that DA fit in completely in the cowl?

Hi, no, the engine does not fit within the cowl....the left side requires a couple of inches of relief for the plug cap, and half moons are required for both mufflers. now that FG is fixed I'll put pix up of the mounted cowl. Maybe with the Decathlon gone we can talk Ali into a larger model that will take a DA 120....one can only hope!

With the 70, it's not a set up for anyone wanting to preserve the lines of the model. I built it as a tow plane, and it does that well, but no doubt it would also be fine with a smaller engine - as can be seen from the videos showing it towing the new 6.4m ASH 31. Mine was something of an experiment. On the other hand, it is absolute kick to fly - the other day I was horsing around with it and a guy yelled from the pits "looks like you are having way too much fun!" Which I was....

I would take at least an inch off the mufflers.

I was curious as I have a 60 twin needing a home but would not want to have to cut up the cowl.

We fitted a DLE 60 twin with only the slightest cut for one side of the spark plug cap.

Callie = She

If you have not gotten your pricing back yet, your mind is about to be blown!

I've found she is far and away the least expensive option that delivers a top of the line vinyl.

Yes, read about their company history on their website. Interesting and a darn good American story.
