Now for anyone who has built this. HOW is the wing secured? Inside the fuse, there is a hole drilled into the wing-tube reinforcement plate, but it does NOT go whole way thru. Also there are no hole in the wing or anyway to put a plate/blind-nut. I must be missing something.

On mine I have 1/4-20 threaded rod that was threaded into the wing and blind nuts then hysol glued in place and that passes through the fuse and I just use a nylon fender washer and wing nut to secure... 11 years of that so far. I’ll post photos

You will need a hole in front of the wing tube anyway for wires to pass and that is where you can install your blind nut in the wing

Hello my friends.
This week I was to be gone in San Francisco, but on Wed. night I spiked a 104.3 degree fever and extreme gut pain. You guessed it diverticulitis. Spent next 5 days in hospital. For now I do not have to do the surgery but that might change.

Regardless, I hope to start build soon. All parts are here including the Digitech CTU.

Stay Tuned.

Did a little work today. Mounted the elevator servos.
The quality of this Tomahawk Futura is awesome.
Had to open the tray up a tiny bit so servo wires would not pinch.

Always liked JR servos, and these new ones do not disappoint.

Once I get some 1-inch arms, I will cut the slots and prepare to install the horns.

Some more simple, low-hanging fruit work continued.
The gear mounts needed a little widening at the mouth to allow the gear to slide in. In know it's pretty ugly here, but I have some black pigment that will will mix with resin to clean it up.

These Electron gear are sweet. First time using electrics, and I love the quality.

Not sure if I should beef up the gear area or just let it be sacrificial in case of bad landing. Thoughts??

Anyone know of a 10-pin connector with quality like MPX? 6 pins for servos, 2 for brakes, and 2 for retracts...

Or just use 2 MPX....

Looking for something nice, maybe with a mount for fuselage.

Hey there Wayne. I hope you are feeling better and that you're on the mend.

I had used two PowerBox MPX connectors. One for the ailerons/flaps (at the rear of the wing root) and the one near the front is for the gear/brakes. I made the leads myself, so I chose to turn the connectors opposite, making it impossible to fit them wrong.

Added in the FLAP Horns. Did not like having one, so made doubles from some G10 I had laying around.
