Help! Today I crashed my IMAC aircraft a little bit less than a month away from our competition. I am a slow builder and not very good with repairs. What should I do???

The AJ 123” Laser makes a great IMAC setup. The Hanger 9 Sukhoi dominated the lower classes for years. It’s out of production but I see them come for sale fairly often.

actually, the suhkoi is available through horizon. $1400. and it's still very competitive in the upper classes.

That’s great news! The Sukhoi is an outstanding aircraft. I remember seeing IMAC contests with 50% of the field flying that airframe.

How bad is your plane wrecked? Call a couple local builders to come over and help get it going again!

What can you salvage from your crash?? Engine size..undamaged servos....receiver etc. will dictate which way to go and an arf is the fastest way to get back in the air. If its landing gear related you might get Aluminum gear faster than graphite and repair the box. I know you mentioned you're not good at repairs but maybe a fellow modeler at your field may be able to give advice. Just throwing some options out there.

When your seat is the farthest from the emergency exit on a flight over the Pacific Ocean and the pilot comes on the intercom to inform you that both engines have failed......good time to panic.

When the girl friend informs you that she is late and you are a married man...good time to panic.

When you crash your Imac bird, build another.

Hope you get a new plane ready in time.

Assuming your last Imac plane was a 40% then I would strongly recommend the 115" or 123" AJ Aircraft Laser 230. The AJ planes build fast, are straight forward so shouldn't get hung up on anything and if you do have questions there is a great group on facebook that would always be willing to chime in and help. The laser is definitely a great choice and is highly proven in competition.

IMAC guys are awesome..... no need to panic... you could probably just show up and ask someone to let you fly their airplane. I’m sure someone will let you for the weekend.
