Blue bird appears to be a cut above the other affordable servos out there. Their website says they've been manufacturing servos since 1978 and their founder is an old pattern competitor. They also highlight the fact that they use"Japan" coreless and brushless motors and their boards are "Japan" sourced, for whatever worth that is. The other thing notable is that they're manufactured in Taiwan rather than China. Hitecs and Futabas are also manufactured in Taiwan, as far as I know.

Looks cool. Blue bird is also a well-renowned brand. If the quality of the product is also durable, the servo would be successful.

BPHobbies carries some of their lower end servos. Hobby King's USA warehouses carry not all, but a lot of both low and top end Blue Bird servos.

I am running some tests on servos in 400-500 oz/inch range. All I can say is, I am REALLY impressed with Blue bird servos.

I don't work for BlueBird (Yet! But who knows?!!). Both models on my link are super fast with plenty of torque for 50cc or 100cc (2 servos/surface) planes.

When stalled, yes. They perform much better with power distribution (like any other other 400+ oz/inch torque servo). But you can still use them without it. Based on my understanding and experience, if can not supply enough power, voltage drops to 7 or 6 volts. As a result servo can't produce max torque. that's it. I mean even in that case its not end of the world! again my idea.
