Skywing wing area

I am confused by the small amount of wing area listed for the Skywing 102 inch ARS. Wing area is given as 1494 sq. in on the North West RC site. This seems very small compared to other planes of this size from other manufactures. Does anyone have this plane and does it appear to have a small wing compared to other planes of similar size ? Does Skywing have a different way of measuring wing area ? I am confused as it seems to fly very well in the videos that are available. . Dave.

The methodology of calculating wing area is different.

Skywing does not include the area that goes through the fuselage in wingarea. Other manufacturers do.

Thank you Guldukat that makes sense as a reason for the wing area seeming low. These Skywing planes seem to be a great value for the money.

Another couple of questions to you 102 inch Skywing ARS 300 owners . Is this plane canister compatible ? I see no mention of canisters on their website. Also is it possible to mount the rudder servo in the tail ? Thanks . Dave.

Probably best to continue in the appropriate thread for the 102 ARS.
Thanks
