Gettin’ Close!

15 miles out and it’s cold windy and sprinkling a little rain......
It was sunny and shirtsleeve weather down the road in Dayton!
Gotta check with the Weak Signals Weather Dept. and see if they can flip the switch on the good stuff!

Sweet pea,
Didn’t even think about it...... I think after the 24 hr drive straight through,
I’m running on empty in the brains department! Do come by the Ritch’s Brew booth and get one our free gifts. We’ll talk!

What a disappointment. Lots of venders gone. Attendance appeared way down from previous years , even last year. There were a few nice models on display on Friday but lots of empty table space.

Nice to see Futaba and JR back. Too bad Powerbox wasn’t there.

Of the vendors that were there, many have downsized displays or put little effort into them. The Horizon booth was pathetic and appeared to be thrown together.

It's 8:42, how do you know attendance is down when it opens at 9?

Maybe he attended Friday!
Been attending the show for too many years. If it is an indication of the future of our hobby we are definitely in trouble. Yes I totally agree with above poster Horizon’s booth looked like a Thursday before the show after thought. Pretty bad from a supposed leading manufacturer in are hobby! I would expect more from them.
Definitely nice to see Futaba and JR Propo making an effort and as always DA a steadfast supporter. Also thanks to all the other manufactures and distributors who did attend this year. Also the Toledo club for many years of fun.

I am heading up tomorrow morning. It’s been a few years since I have attended the show but I have set my expectations low. It’s a shame to see a great show like this get to this state.

The show opened on Friday which is when I attended. I wrote my comment Saturday morning.. I’ve been attending the Toledo Show for 41 years.

It’s a real shame how this show has declined in recent years despite the significant effort the host club no doubt puts in.

I agree with you George , the show is getting smaller and definitely not worth my time , money and energy driving there! Its was very disappointing to see the emptiness of the facility on the main floor, Having said that the swap meet up stairs seemed to be packed, just my observations. I have definitely come to a personnel conclusion that, it has been declining for years, this will be my last year attending, sorry guys makes you wonder what direction our hobby is going?

big, Bigger, BIGGEST!!!

Before we left the 2019 Toledo show we were told they would definitely be holding the 2020 show. Let's just nip all the negativity in the bud on this ....
If you want a great 2020 show, contact YOUR favorite vendor and urge them to attend. Then.......... Go look in the mirror and tell yourself to really, really BE THERE next year. All this in place, Toledo 2020 is gonna be off the charts. Remember, this show and the Toledo Weak Signals Club puts on this event for the last 65 years. It's the last of it's kind..... Be there and be a part of the solution and we can all go see what we really like to do. If it's gone and we don't have this event to attend, it's gonna be a long cold winter sitting around wishing we had something good to go see. (Great WITH, sucks WITHOUT!!!)
See ya there!

WangoTango I mirror your comments. I thought the show this year was very nice! On Thursday when I got done setting up the imac booth I went upstairs to see the swap shop. It was packed with no empty tables. By the end of Saturday there were several swap tables sold out. Downstairs there were several new and innovative products. If we don’t support our hobby we won’t have a hobby to enjoy. Now with etoc back it’s twice the show for me!

Great comment. Drive the vendors to be there if you want to see them.
