Can not get one cell to come up all the way. 3.93 is as high as it will go. Got the ESC programmed and the arming switch working. Got the Slick up on it's legs and started to install the aileron servos and ran into a snag. I believe the pre-installed servo mount is in the wrong place. Going to have to get the dremel tool out. Just looks like one thing after another with this plane. Still waiting on my XOAR 24X10 prop and the remaining servos that were on back order.

Just spoke with a club member who is pretty good with the electric setups. He's the one I shot the video of flying his 3DHS 60cc Edge 540 with the E-flite Power 360 on 12S. He said he has had quite a few batterys like this and he said to put my charger in the balance mode and take every cell down to the lowest cell and then bring them back up. He said this works 99.9% of the time with no issues afterwards so tomorrow I'll give it a shot.

I made a little headway today. Got the on-board switch and arming switch installed. I cut a hole in the floorboard to run the "Y" harness from the ESC. I have the servos mounted in each wing panel, control horns epoxied in, and control linkage hooked up. Finished with the wings. The control horns are not in line with the hinge line but Tim at Redwing RC assures me that it will be fine. This is the way they are flying there planes. Personally I've never seen the control horns off-set from the hinge line in all my years. I had to enlarge the slot in the servo panels in the wings as the slots where not cut far enough over for clearance for the servo arms to operate. I tried an Airtronics and Hitec servo and still had the issue so I assume the slots are wrong.

I received my 24X10 XOAR Beachwood (gas) prop today. One tip has a bad spot where it looks like it got hit so I'll need to sand and seal and re-balance the prop. I had to enlarge the center hole on my Dave Brown 4" spinner back plate just enough to fit over the motor shaft on the E-flite Power 360 . I also had to drill the 4 holes in the back plate for the prop bolts. The 4 prop bolts that come with the Power 360 are going to be a little short and I'm going to need a 4" 10-32 bolt to fasten the spinner to the motor shaft. So it's off to the nut & bolt shop after work today.

I had the same problem with my prop bolts, way to short. I got longer ones but my local shop had a poor selection. I am flying without the spinner for now untill i can order longer bolts on Ebay. I am using 5mm allen head bolts.

Got it all put together and looks good. Only thing left is to enlarge the opening on the spinner for the prop. |

Got the Dave Brown 4" spinner cut for the XOAR 24X10 prop. Still waiting for two of my servos that were on back order to come in. Still need to mount and hook up the rudder servo, get some straps for the batterys, and install the servos in the stabs. Haven't decided if I'm going to put a pilot in or not.
