Ive had this issue a few times. Most times it was a dirty carb screen or bad fuel.

I just spoke with DA (Dave) and they told me contaminated fuel is really not that uncommon, and that their engines seem to be particularly sensitive to it (compare to a car, not other model engines). He also mentioned the ignition system as a possibility so I will start with replacing my fuel and flushing out the system first, then, if necessary, start looking at the ignition system. Given my experience the next day with a different plane, I'm thinking high probability it is the fuel.

Large four-stroke engines like cars have seem to be less sensitive to poor fuel than any small two-stroke engine, weed whackers and chain saws included.

Status update:

Well, I got a new supply of gas and was able to put a little time into this yesterday. I removed both needles fully and blew them out, and with the new supply of gas, was able to get the engine running again like it should. I was also able to get my other engine running well, so I am convinced I just got a bad batch of gas. Of course, today it's raining like crazy, so no flying.

Anyway, thanks to all for the helpful suggestions. It's all very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Larry
